Steve Glaeser Memorial Walk

  • 1200 Euclid Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94708 United States (map)

Distance: 3 miles
Leaders: Colleen Neff, Mary Lynch, Charlie Bowen
Accessibility: This walk will be somewhat strenuous with lots of stairs both up and down.

BPWA’s dedicated path builder for 19 years, Steve Glaeser, passed away in late January. This walk features many of the most challenging paths Steve worked on, including Northgate Path and Lower Columbia Path. Please join us to walk together to honor and remember Steve’s huge contribution to the path network in the Berkeley Hills. This walk will contain many wooden stair steps both up and down (some with and without handrails) and is rated challenging.

There is a restroom at the start and end of the walk in both the Rose Garden and Codornices Park. As is tradition at the BPWA work parties, there will be some snacks during the walk. Well behaved dogs on leash permitted. Moderate to heavy rain cancels.
