OPEN BPWA BOARD POSITION!

We have an opening on the BPWA board! We’re looking for a Donations Coordinator to begin a two-year term in January 2026. The role involves maintaining our donor records, periodically collecting letters from our mailbox, making out deposit forms for our fiscal sponsor, and supervising the preparation of our annual appeal letter. Generally, it’s a commitment of a few hours a month, with more time required for the year-end appeal. To learn more about this board position, please email us at info@berkeleypaths.com.

PATH MAINTENANCE WORK PARTIES

Join us for a path maintenance work party!Tuesday, November 11, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, November 15, 1 to 3 p.m. Do you enjoy working with your hands and seeing tangible results of your efforts? Join us to clean up Berkeley’s paths, work that’s mostly weeding, sweeping, raking, and clipping. We will have gloves and tools available, but feel free to bring your own. Please also bring your own water, as we won't be offering water or refreshments. Distance/elevation gain: 3 miles, 400 feet
Accessibility: Fully paved with curb cuts; moderate pace; well-behaved dogs welcome; restrooms at start and end in Student Union.

Start/end: 41 Somerset Place/Great Stoneface Park, Berkeley
Accessibility: Children and dogs are allowed on the walk but it may not be ideally suited for them. The terrain includes some dirt paths that may be difficult for people using mobility devices. Moderate fitness necessary for an uphill segment through John Hinkel Park.

End: The walk finishes 0.5 miles from the start. It's an easy walk back to the library, and the AC Transit 12 bus also goes there.
