GoFundMe Campaign for Terrace View Paths

The Terrace View Alliance, a collective of neighborhood groups representing the part of the Berkeley Hills that is just north of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, is partnering with Berkeley Path Wanderers Association to create and preserve Berkeley's public paths, steps, and walkways in this part of the city.

"Installing handrails makes our path network safer and easier to use for everyone," says Susan Wengraf, Berkeley's District Six Councilmember. "In terms of bang for your buck, this is the best thing we can do right now and for a small cost to ensure that we and our neighbors in the hills can get to safety, if that becomes necessary.”

The Alliance’s fundraising target is $70,000, which will enable the addition of handrails to the most popular paths to make them safer for residents, especially those who might be mobility impaired or elderly. The funds will help to complete Columbia Path and potentially build Del Mar Path, and to make improvements in Glendale Path, Atlas Path, and Wilson Walk.
