Leader: Alina Constantinescu
Distance: 4 miles
Elevation gain: 1,000 ft
Accessibility: Most of the hike is on dirt trails, with some stairs, sidewalks, and streets in between. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome. No public restrooms available on the route.
Start the weekend off with a fun ramble through El Cerrito's gems, the Hillside Natural Area and Motorcycle Hill. The trails are fairly strenuous so wear good shoes and bring hiking poles if you use them. We'll go at a moderate pace with breaks as needed to enjoy the sights and the conversation. If the fog stays away, we will enjoy a nice sunset with expansive views across the Bay. We'll return at the starting point shortly after sunset.
Shout-out and many thanks to our friends the El Cerrito Trail Trekkers for maintaining and advocating for the trails in their city. You can learn more about their work, join a walk, check out a trail map, and more at http://www.ectrailtrekkers.org/
